Mission Statement

New Promise Church is committed to accurately representing Jesus Christ. We want to help those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus, come to know Him personally. We also desire to help other Christians to live like Christ. We believe we can best accomplish both of these goals as we sincerely surrender to Christ as Savior and Sanctifier of our lives.

New Promise Church began in April of 2007 when 150 people meeting at the Kirtland Community Center in Kirtland, Ohio, voted to begin a new church. They approved the name New Promise and an executive committee was established to conduct the affairs of the church through December of 2007. In November 2007, property was purchased on Chardon Road in Kirtland for our future church facility. Through the work of the By-Laws committee, we have developed a doctrinal statement and requirements for membership and polity. At a congregational meeting in December of 2007, 123 people became charter members, a Board of Elders was elected and a budget was approved. May 2008, a ground breaking celebration was held and construction began on the new facility. After ten months, New Promise held its first service in the new church April 5, 2009.
