Upwards Basketball is a fun, competitive, and high-quality youth sports experience. We focus on the full development of each of our players and cheerleaders. Along with instructing and coaching basketball skills, we take time to teach positive life skills and to teach about the love of Jesus Christ for everyone. 

 

Participation does not dominate a family's time, as we have 1-hour practices and 1-hour games each week during an 8-week season. Playing time for K–4th grade is equally divided: everybody plays and there are modified rules to ensure learning and fun come along with the competition. 5th grade and older is more like traditional school competition. Spectator behavior is limited to positive interaction and encouragement. It is fun for everyone! Each team will have a maximum number of ten players. Coaches will automatically have their own children assigned to their team. You are welcome to list one other player under the carpooling option during registration. BOTH players need to have each other listed for the request to be considered.

We will try to honor the carpooling requests, but please understand if we cannot. Evaluations (to allow for fair teams to be made) will be held the last week of October, and are mandatory. If you do not show up for an evaluation, your spot will not be guaranteed. Exact dates and times will be available when you register. You will also notice a price increase this season. This is due to the increase in the church’s liability for sports. Uniform sizes will also be determined at the evaluation session.

Our league is open to boys and girls, ages K5–12th grade. Games begin in January and run for 8 weeks. Cost is $103.00 for Basketball and $103 for Cheer. There are $5 & $10 discounts available for families with 3 or more kids. Cost includes a game jersey or cheerleader uniform. 
 

We NEED Volunteers to make this happen. Please consider signing up to coach, assistant coach, score keep, referee, lights, sound board.
