Life Together

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” – John 11:25 (NIV)

We’re just days away from Easter Sunday — a day that changes everything. This past Sunday, we walked through Jesus’ emotional entry into Jerusalem (Luke 19:28–44), not with shouts of victory, but with tears. The crowd was loud, the moment felt triumphant, but Jesus wept. Why? Because He saw their hearts. He knew that many would miss the peace He came to bring. That sobering truth reminds us that celebration without recognition is empty. As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday, let’s pause and reflect:

Do we recognize Jesus for who He truly is?

This coming Sunday, we’ll gather to celebrate the cornerstone of our faith — the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our message will center on Luke 24:1–12, where the women find the stone rolled away and hear the angels’ declaration: “He is not here; He has risen!” The empty tomb is more than a symbol — it’s a victory cry for every believer. It means sin doesn’t have the final word; Death doesn’t win. And hope is alive. Whether you come full of faith or carrying burdens, my prayer is that each of us will encounter the risen Savior in a fresh and personal way this Easter.

Before we get there, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated candy for our Journey to Easter event — your generosity is such a blessing! This community event is happening Saturday, April 19, from 10 AM to 12 PM, and it’s going to be a wonderful time of fun, faith, and celebration for families and kids in our area. Make sure to spread the word and invite every family with kids you know — it’s a simple way to help plant seeds of truth, wonder, and awe in young hearts.

We’ll also be gathering for our hymn-filled Good Friday service this Friday, April 18, from 6–7 PM. This will be a meaningful time of reflection on the cross and the great price Christ paid for our redemption. I hope you’ll make space in your schedule to be there — it sets the tone for the joy of Resurrection Sunday.

I want to encourage you again this week: keep praying for that one person. God may already be opening a door. Maybe it’s an invite to brunch, a text message, or a simple “Would you come to church with me?” moment.

Don’t underestimate the power of an invitation

wrapped in prayer.

Easter isn’t just a celebration for the church — it’s a call to the lost, the hurting, and the searching. Let’s be ready to welcome them with open arms and hearts full of the love of Christ.

See you soon — and bring someone with you.
